For over 20 years, John Overton, our CFO and one of our owners, has been a tireless advocate for small businesses and the employees who power them. His mission has always been to inform business owners about the laws and policies that affect their ability to thrive and to empower them to make their voices heard.
John has served in leadership roles across numerous organizations, including:
- LABI Chair of the Small Business Council, Technology Council, and Healthcare Council
- BRAC Chair of the Small Business / Entrepreneurship Council (3 times)
- Board member of both BRAC and LABI
- Chair of the Leadership Council of NFIB
- Member of the Governor’s Small Business Advisory Council
- Active participant in multiple Political Action Committees (PACs)
Through these roles, John has advocated for small business-friendly legislation and vetted candidates for local and state office, ensuring that small business interests are represented in Louisiana’s political landscape.
Sometimes, advocacy meant being the only small business owner at a table full of big business executives, politicians, and lobbyists. But John stayed engaged, informed, and optimistic while building bridges with leaders across sectors who share the goal of moving Louisiana forward.
His work reflects the spirit of Turn Key Solutions: resilient, community-driven, and committed to helping others succeed.
