TKS is proud to have a member of our family (John Overton) on the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry’s (LABI) board. For those of you who are not familiar with who the LABI is, they are Louisiana’s official state chapter for the US Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers. The LABI sets the standard for advocacy, providing policymakers with the information and perspective necessary to advance sound public policy that supports strong economic growth.

Representing more than 2,000 Louisiana employers, they are the only association that represents businesses of all sizes from a statewide, multi-industry perspective. Together, they are creating a shared, collaborative vision for the future of free enterprise in Louisiana.

LABI and its members stand for a straightforward and competitive tax structure, a free enterprise system that limits government intrusion, and a fiscal responsibility with transparency in government, among many other complex values. For more than 40 years, they have used their influence to affect legislative change and create a pro-business climate to grow Louisiana’s economy.

I encourage you to visit LABI’s website to understand the full impact of how the LABI has already improved the daily lives of so many Louisianians and to learn more about what is to come. Read more about the amazing things this organization is doing for Louisiana on their website https://www.labi.org/.
