The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry’s (LABI) board welcomes John Overton, a member of the TKS family, with pride. John Overton, co-owner and CFO of Turn Key Solutions will serve as the Small Business Representative on the LABI board for 2023. LABI serves as Louisiana’s official state chapter for the US Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers. They set the bar for advocacy and provide policymakers with the necessary information and perspective to promote sound public policy that supports strong economic growth.

LABI revealed early findings of its LA23 strategic plan at the 2023 LABI Annual Meeting to more than 1,000 LABI members, business leaders and legislators. Through LA23, LABI intends to define and articulate key issues and strategies that can help Louisiana become an economic leader in the South. This strategic plan is an 8-year vision, but with specific near-term milestones to provide informed policy guidance for candidates in the fall 2023 elections.

LABI represents over 2,000 Louisiana employers, making them the only association to represent businesses of all sizes from a statewide, multi-industry perspective. Their members work collaboratively to establish a shared vision for the future of free enterprise in Louisiana.

LABI and its members champion a competitive tax structure, a free enterprise system that limits government intervention, fiscal responsibility, and transparency in government, among other complex values. For over 40 years, they have wielded their influence to bring about legislative changes and create a pro-business environment to develop Louisiana’s economy.

I recommended that you visit LABI’s website to gain a better understanding of how LABI has already improved the daily lives of many Louisianans and to learn more about their future plans.
